Your Guide to Rainforest Wild Adventure: How to Plan the Perfect Day Across Both Zones

Reading time: 6 mins

Rainforest Wild Adventure is bigger than ever. What was once a single park is now a two-zone adventure-based wildlife park spanning two distinct rainforest worlds — and one admission ticket gets you into both, with access to up to 9 Adventure+ activities.

Rainforest Wild Adventure WEST (formerly known as Rainforest Wild ASIA) immerses you in the dense, layered landscapes of Asian rainforests, where free-roaming wildlife shares the trails with you. Cross to the newly opened Rainforest Wild Adventure EAST, and the world shifts — open Afro-tropical savannahs and the lush forests of Madagascar unfold across seven hectares, home to species you won't find anywhere else in Southeast Asia.

The experience you walk away with depends largely on how you approach the day. This guide helps you do exactly that — whether you're here for the adrenaline, the animals, or a bit of both.

Key Highlights

  • What's new: Rainforest Wild Adventure EAST opens 20 May 2026 — seven hectares of Afro-tropical and Madagascan habitats, including the okapi's Southeast Asian debut
  • Two zones, one ticket: Full-park admission covers both EAST and WEST
  • Adventure+ expansion: Nine activities across both zones, from Level 1 gentle thrills to Level 5 maximum adrenaline
  • Soft-opening promotion: WildPass holders enjoy nine Adventure+ activities included with admission on weekdays and five included on weekends and public holidays

Know What You're Walking Into

Before you plan your day, it helps to understand what makes each zone distinct — not just in terms of animals, but in atmosphere and pace.

Rainforest Wild Adventure Park Map

Rainforest Wild Adventure EAST (RF Adventure EAST) opens up. The Afro-tropical landscape feels more expansive, with habitats inspired by the Congo basin and the island forests of Madagascar. As you make your way along the elevated walkways, two interconnected ravine habitats unfold below — the Riverine Forest, where rivers and swamps sustain diverse wildlife including otters and pygmy hippos, and the Red Ravine, a rugged rain-carved landscape where antelope, red river hogs, and crocodilians share the waterways.

Further along, Lemur Land draws you in — a multi-species free-ranging habitat where lemurs, turacos, and ibises move freely overhead. And then there is the Hidden Forest, home to the okapi — an animal so rarely seen outside Central Africa that no zoological park in Southeast Asia has ever featured one until now.

Add to this five Adventure+ activities spanning aerial courses, zip lines, and climbing challenges — from the gliding calm of the Canopy Glider and Treetop Traverse to the full exposure of the Ravine Swing, Primate Climb and Split Rock Summit — RF Adventure EAST rewards every kind of visitor who walks through its gates.

Split Rock Summit — scale dramatic karst formations at RF Adventure EAST.
Red Ravine — rugged rain-carved habitat at RF Adventure EAST.

Rainforest Wild Adventure WEST (RF Adventure WEST) is immersive and trail-led. Winding forest treks take you through naturalistic habitats where animals roam freely. You might catch a fleeting glimpse of  a Malayan tiger moving through its territory,  , or spot a sun bear going about its morning in its habitat. The park rewards those who slow down and look.

The Adventure+ experiences here move from cavern to canopy — beginning in the depths of a 220-metre cavern with the Cavern Crawl, transitioning to fun amongst the trees at AIA Vitality Bounce, escalating to the Canopy Jump from 20 metres above the forest floor, and finishing with the challenge of the Rock Wall Climb. Wildlife encounter and adrenaline rush all in the same breath.

Wildlife spotting runs through both zones. The animals don't recognise zone boundaries, and neither should your day.

Level Up With Adventure+

Whether you're a first-timer or a returning visitor, Adventure+ is one of the things that makes Rainforest Wild Adventure genuinely unlike any other wildlife park in Southeast Asia. Nine activities are now available across both zones — up from three when the WEST zone first opened — ranging from gentle thrills you can walk into with no experience, to heart-racing challenges at heights of up to 20 metres.

Choose Your Adventure — Two Ways to Experience the Park

Now that you know what's on offer, here's how to put it all together. Your starting zone shapes the entire rhythm of the day — so choose based on what matters most to your group.

The Thrill-Chaser

Start at Rainforest Wild Adventure WEST | 20 Mandai Lake Road

If your idea of a great day out involves pushing your limits — with wildlife chance encounters woven into every step — start at RF Adventure WEST and use it as your warm-up runway before crossing to RF Adventure EAST for the main event.

In RF Adventure WEST: Ease in with the Adventure+ activity, Cavern Crawl (Thrill Level 1) — a pitch-black passage where you navigate entirely by touch and instinct It's a deceptively intense start that sets the tone for the day.

While you're here, step into The Cavern itself — a fully sheltered 220-metre walk-through inspired by the Mulu Caves of Borneo, where shimmering limestone pools, cave fauna, and the dramatic Oculus, one of the best photo stops in the attraction. It's one of the best photo stops in the park, and a worthy pause before you go big. Then step back out into the light and take on one of the most thrilling Adventure+ activities, Canopy Jump (Thrill Level 5) — a leap from up to 20 metres.

Cavern Crawl — your pitch-dark warm-up at RF Adventure WEST.
The Cavern — limestone pools and the Oculus photo spot.

Cross to RF Adventure EAST — and this is where the day truly opens up. RF Adventure EAST is home to three of the most adrenaline-charged Adventure+ activities, and the combination of height and habitat here is unlike anything in RF Adventure WEST.

Work through the activities in ascending intensity. The Treetop Traverse (Thrill Level 3) sends you along a 125-metre harnessed course through the tree canopy.. The Primate Climb (Thrill Level 4) has you scaling an 11-metre tall strangler fig with Diana monkeys visible in their habitat as you ascend.

Treetop Traverse — harnessed canopy trail at RF Adventure EAST.
Primate Climb — ascend alongside Diana monkeys at RF Adventure EAST.

Save the Ravine Swing and Split Rock Summit for last — soaring eight metres above ground on the swing, then climbing to an 11-metre pinnacle with sweeping views of Lemur Land.

Ravine Swing — aerial thrill above the forest ravine.
Split Rock Summit — panoramic views over Lemur Land.

By the time you reach the top, you've done both zones the way they were meant to be done.

The Mixed-Pace Visitor

Start at Rainforest Wild Adventure EAST | 80 Mandai Lake Road

If your group spans different energy levels — young children, older relatives, or a mix of keen walkers and happy wanderers — RF Adventure EAST is the right place to begin. Its elevated walkway is fully sheltered and accessible for strollers and wheelchairs, the habitat trails are unhurried, and there's enough variety to keep every member of your group engaged without anyone feeling left behind.

From the RF Adventure EAST entrance, make your way along the elevated walkway — a universal-access path that gives you your first views across the Afro-tropical and Madagascan landscapes below. The terrain here has a savannah quality that feels distinctly different from the dense canopy of RF Adventure WEST. Along the way, watch for the pygmy hippos in the water and the eastern bongo and the red river hog moving through the ravine habitat.

Mid-way through RF Adventure EAST, you'll arrive at Lemur Land — a multi-species free-ranging habitat where lemurs, turacos, parrots, and ibises share the same open space with you, without barriers. The expansive habitat gives animals the freedom to roam, rest, and express natural behaviours at their own pace — which means what you witness here is genuinely unscripted. A lemur stretched out on a branch overhead, a turaco hopping from branch to branch.

Lemur Land — free-ranging multi-species habitat at Rainforest Wild Adventure EAST.

From Lemur Land, take the Okapi Trek (260m) — a longer, forested descent where the okapi, making its Southeast Asian debut, may appear among the trees. It's a shy animal, and spotting one feels like a genuine discovery.

For those in the group ready for a gentle step up in activities, RF Adventure EAST offers two good Adventure+ entry points. The Canopy Glider (Thrill Level 2) lets you glide above the tree canopy in a seated cable ride — low commitment, high reward, and accessible enough for most age groups.

Those who want slightly more can try the Treetop Traverse (Thrill Level 3), a 125-metre harnessed course that moves you through the canopy at a pace you control.

Canopy Glider — seated cable ride through the forest canopy.
Treetop Traverse — explore the canopy at your own pace.

Cross to RF Adventure WEST for the second half of the day, with energy levels in mind. The elevated walkways offer a similarly accessible route with two short treks — the Predator Trek (70m) and the Forest Floor Trek (120m) — are well-suited to mixed groups who want to keep moving without overcommitting. Time your visit around a Ranger Talk if you can; rangers significantly improve your chances of spotting the free-roaming animals in the park, and the insights make the animals you've already seen feel like a fuller story.

Forest Floor Trek — spot free-roaming wildlife up close.
Ranger Talk — wildlife insights with François' langurs and deers.

Before you leave RF Adventure WEST, step into The Cavern — a fully sheltered 220-metre walk-through inspired by the Mulu Caves of Borneo, featuring cave fauna, limestone formations, and the Oculus, a striking photo spot that doubles as a natural close to the day. It's weather-proof, unhurried, and genuinely impressive regardless of how much energy your group has left.

How to Do Both Zones at Rainforest Wild Adventure in a Day

Thrill-Chaser sequence: Begin at RF Adventure WEST (20 Mandai Lake Road) — Cavern Crawl as your warm-up, a visit to The Cavern for the Oculus photo stop, then the Canopy Jump before you cross. Allow around 1.5 to 2 hours in RF Adventure WEST. Cross to RF Adventure EAST (80 Mandai Lake Road) after a mid-morning fuel stop at Rangers Pitstop — this is where the bulk of your day lives. Work through the Split Rock Trek and Okapi Trek on foot first, then ascend through Adventure+ in order: Canopy Glider, Treetop Traverse, Primate Climb, Ravine Swing and Split Rock Summit. Allow three to four hours in RF Adventure EAST minimum; more if you're spacing out the activities.

Mixed-Pace sequence: Begin at RF Adventure EAST (80 Mandai Lake Road) in the cool of the morning — elevated walkway first to orient the group, then the Horn & Hoof and Misty Treks, Lemur Land as your mid-zone pitstop, followed by the Okapi Trek and optional Adventure+ (Canopy Glider or Treetop Traverse) before crossing. Allow two to three hours in RF Adventure EAST. Cross to RF Adventure WEST (20 Mandai Lake Road) for the second half — Predator Trek and Forest Floor Trek at a relaxed pace, a Ranger Talk if the timing works, then The Cavern as a sheltered, weather-proof close to the day. Allow 1.5 to 2 hours in RF Adventure WEST.

Getting between zones is straightforward. The complimentary M1 East-West Shuttle connects the two zones throughout the day — check the Mandai app for timings. If you'd rather stretch your legs, the walk is 800m and takes around 20 minutes or 10 minutes by bicycle along the shared path.

Where to eat: Thrill-Chasers can refuel at Rangers Pitstop or Rangers Retreat in RF Adventure EAST. Mixed-Pace visitors crossing to WEST mid-day will find the Watering Hole Café a good stopping point — meals with views of roaming tapirs, worth the pause.

Watering Hole Café — dine with views of roaming tapirs at RF Adventure WEST.
Rangers Retreat — refuel in the heart of RF Adventure EAST.
Rangers' Pitstop — mid-trek refreshments at RF Adventure EAST.

Visit Tips Before You Go

  1. Know your entry point: The two zones are at different addresses. Head to 20 Mandai Lake Road for RF Adventure WEST, or 80 Mandai Lake Road for RF Adventure EAST. Both are well-signposted within the precinct.
  2. Wear the right shoes: Sports shoes with good grip are essential for RF Adventure WEST — the forest treks can get wet and muddy after rain. Comfortable, closed-toe shoes are recommended across both zones.
  3. Pack for the sun: RF Adventure WEST is a fully outdoor experience, so bring a cap, sunscreen, and a light raincoat or poncho. RF Adventure EAST is fully sheltered throughout, so no rain gear needed on that side. Frequently Asked Questions

1. Can I visit both EAST and WEST zones on a single ticket?

Yes — one admission ticket covers both zones. Whether you start in EAST or WEST zone, you're free to move between them throughout the day.

2. How much time should I set aside for a full-park visit?

Allow at least four to five hours to experience both zones comfortably. If you're booking multiple Adventure+ activities or following the full forest trek routes, build in extra time — a full day gives you the most flexibility.

3. Is there a recommended order for visiting the two zones?

It depends on what you're here for. If you are a thrill-Chaser, get the most out of starting at WEST zone— Adventure+ and forest treks in peak morning energy — then crossing to EAST zone for the Treetop Traverse and okapi trail. For mixed-Pace visitors and families, start at EAST zone, for the multi-species habitat and Okapi Trek in the cool of the morning, before heading to WEST zone. The guide above will help you decide which order suits your group.

4. Can I book Adventure+ activities on the day, or should I book in advance?

The Canopy Glider is the only Adventure+ activity that requires advance booking — this can be done through the Mandai app before or during your visit. All other Adventure+ activities are walk-up; no pre-booking is needed. Check live wait times for any activity across both zones on the Mandai app to help you plan the best time to go.

5. What does the admission ticket include, and how much does it cost?

Admission covers entry to both zones. Local residents with a complimentary WildPass membership enjoy a special promotion — up to nine Adventure+ activities included with admission on weekdays, and five on weekends. Tickets are priced at S$50 for adults, S$35 for children (aged 3–12) and students (aged 25 and below), and S$25 for senior citizens. Non-residents can visit from S$55 for adults and S$39 for children (aged 3–12). For the full ticket breakdown and to book, visit the Rainforest Wild Adventure admissions page.

6. What are the opening hours, and where do I go when I arrive?

Rainforest Wild Adventure is open daily from 9:00am to 6:00pm, with last admission at 5:00pm. The two zones have separate entrances at different addresses — make sure you head to the right one. Thrill-Chasers starting at WEST zone: head to 20 Mandai Lake Road. Mixed-Pace visitors starting at EAST zone: head to 80 Mandai Lake Road. Both are within the Mandai Wildlife Reserve and well-signposted from the main entrance.

7. How do I get between EAST and WEST zones once I'm in the park?

Two complimentary options connect the zones. The M1 East-West Shuttle runs between the eastern and western clusters of the reserve throughout the day. If you're travelling by public transport, the M2 Khatib Shuttle Bus links Khatib MRT station to the reserve every 15 to 20 minutes — useful if you're arriving at or departing from different ends of the park. Prefer to walk? The 800m journey takes around twenty minutes on foot.
