We design our parks to holistically and seamlessly integrate with the natural environment.

Our four wildlife parks (Bird Paradise, Singapore Zoo, Night Safari and River Wonders) and Mandai Wildlife West, the ungated public node that serves as the gateway to Bird Paradise and upcoming Rainforest Wild Asia, have been awarded the NParks Landscape Excellence Assessment Framework (LEAF) Platinum Certification.

The LEAF Certification celebrates good landscape design, construction and management of parks and development projects. LEAF serves to encourage organisations’ efforts to restore nature into the urban landscape, which helps bring greenery closer to the community. This also supports efforts to transform Singapore into a City in Nature — a key pillar of the Singapore Green Plan 2030, a national movement to chart our course for sustainable development.

As of 2023, the Singapore Zoo, River Wonders, Night Safari, Bird Paradise and Mandai Wildlife West are the only privately managed locations in Singapore that have received the Platinum certification.

We have attained Platinum LEAF (Landscape Excellence Assessment Framework) certifications for Singapore Zoo, River Wonders and Night Safari. Two developing projects—Penguin Cove at Bird Paradise and the eco-friendly resort—were accredited with the Building and Construction Authority (BCA) Green Mark (Platinum).

Of special note is our resort’s design, which won the Super Low Energy (SLE) award in recognition of its potential to reduce its annual energy consumption by 40% through best-in-class energy efficiency, the use of onsite renewable energy and innovative energy management strategies. Our resort is the first hotel in Singapore to attain this accreditation.
