Education programmes

Our full day or overnight camps offer participants an opportunity to go behind-the-scenes for a close encounter of the wild kind and to discover what it takes to care for these animals. Through the animal ambassadors, participants get to learn more about themselves and also how their actions might impact the environment and wildlife.

Careers in the Wild is a 2-day programme for older students which introduces them to various zoo-related careers. They will get first-hand experience on how various teams from the Animal Care, Veterinary Healthcare, Animal Behaviour & Programmes, Education and Conservation departments work together to provide the best possible care for our animals and connect people with nature.

We offer a myriad of inclusive programmes for everyone to connect with wildlife and nature. The design intent of these programmes is to empower people with special needs to be leaders and self-advocates. Within an assuring environment, we provide them with opportunities to hone employable soft skills such as teamwork, communication and decision-making.

Our specially-curated programmes for at-risk youths focus on social emotional learning and allow participants to hone essential life skills. For disadvantaged families, our programmes provide rare opportunities for them to bond with their loved ones while enjoying our parks. Programme design and execution may involve disadvantaged youths to empower them with a sense of ownership and boost their self-esteem.
