Join us for a gathering of zoo and conservation professionals! This year’s theme, “Building Capacity for the Future, Protecting Wildlife Together,” is about working together to strengthen long-term efforts in wildlife care and conservation through:

  1. Valuable insights and building a strong network for ongoing collaboration.
  2. Tools, insights, and strategies for zoos to enhance animal welfare.
  3. Workshops on Species Management, Conservation, Conservation Education, Animal Welfare, Nutrition, Behavioural Management, and Aquariums.

Call for Papers

General guidelines for preparing abstracts

Please refer to the abstract sample attached for formatting instructions, and use 1.5 spacing, 12-pt Times New Roman font, submitted in Word format (.docx), limited to one page.

Abstracts on any of these topics will be welcomed:

  1. Animal Welfare (Nutrition, Environment, Physical Health, Behaviour, Mental)
  2. Conservation Social Science (e.g. Education/Marketing campaigns, Visitor/Staff surveys)
  3. Conservation (In Situ-Ex Situ linked)
  4. Population Management
Posters
  1. Posters should be A0 size (841 × 1189 mm). Presenters are given the liberty to choose the material of the poster (e.g., tarpaulin, photo paper, etc.)
  2. Presenters are advised to construct accessible posters so all participants can comfortably view all the information.

The deadline for submission of abstracts is 31 July 2025. The acceptance of the abstracts will be announced on 1 August 2025 via email.
