Dedicated Bridge for Wildlife Crossings at Mandai

Singapore, 26 July 2017 – Come 2019, there will be a dedicated bridge at Mandai to facilitate safe crossings for local wildlife linking two parts of the Central Catchment Nature Reserve. An important component of the new nature and wildlife destination being developed at Mandai, this Eco-Link is part of a larger plan to facilitate habitat connectivity for wildlife within the precinct and its surroundings. Construction of the bridge began in June 2017 and is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2019.

New features of the Mandai rejuvenation project unveiled at Ground-Seeding Ceremony

Singapore, 16 January 2017 – Mandai Park Holdings (MPH) celebrated the start of development work under the Mandai rejuvenation project at its ground-seeding ceremony today. The approved project master plan was revealed to guests at the event graced by Minister for Trade and Industry (Industry), Mr S Iswaran. MPH will be augmenting the existing Singapore Zoo, River Safari and Night Safari with the addition of a new Bird Park, a Rainforest Park, a nature-themed indoor attraction and accommodation options.

Mandai Park Holdings Enhances Mitigation Measures for Mandai Rejuvenation Project

Singapore, 10 October 2016 – In its continuing efforts to promote sustainability and conservation for the rejuvenation of the Mandai area, Mandai Park Holdings (MPH) has incorporated additional mitigation measures in its revised Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) report. This follows the conclusion of the public consultation round on the EIA for plans to develop Mandai into an integrated nature and wildlife destination. The Government has accepted the revised EIA report and MPH will be embarking on detailed design planning and a wildlife shepherding programme to facilitate the sensitive development of the area.

Mandai Park Development and Innosparks launch the world’s first evaporative cooler for a cool, refreshing habitat in high humidity tropical climates

Singapore, 25 August 2016 – Mandai Park Development and Innosparks, a subsidiary of ST Engineering, today launched four trial units of Airbitat Smart Coolers at Singapore Zoo. Placed strategically at the ticket area near the entrance, visitors to the Zoo will be welcomed with a cool reception of as low as 24 degrees celsius, even when temperatures across the island reach as high as 35 degrees celsius.

Singapore, 26 July 2016 – Mandai Park Holdings (MPH) today gazetted the results of an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) for its plans to develop Mandai into an integrated nature and wildlife destination that promotes sustainability and wildlife conservation. In line with international best practice, the EIA, a process by which the potential environmental effects of a proposed development are assessed, was commissioned by MPH to consider environmental risk and protection measures from the outset as the project was being conceptualised.
